Grass Seeding / Contravating

Grass seeding / overseeding / contravating are all the same thing.  Overseeding is the method of spreading new grass seed to fill in areas of thinning turf, thus improving the density and verdancy of the grass. This occurs during the growing season – April to September in the UK.

The tractor mounted seeder has a variable seeding rate for sports fields, golf courses and amenity areas.  The seed is sown in a precision method and  does not need a top dressing to germinate.
